Patient Advocacy and Safety

Nurses are driven by three tenets:

Teach patients how to take care of their illness or injury;

Provide the care directly if patients can't do it themselves;

Advocate (fight) for your patients like they were your own family members.

Patients have many unmet needs in today's health facilities.

Who's Who?

Patients don't know who is who when it comes to those providing the health care. Nursing Vision's uniforms give patients that information. Yesterday's nursing cap is gone--largely because they carried many dangerous organisms. That's good for patient safety, but they are left with a see of people who look alike but provide different types of services. They don't know to whom they should address their questions.

Nursing Vision uniforms have RN and other types of patches on the front of each uniform. Silk-screened across the back is a large "Registered Nurse" so patients can spot nurses all the way down the hallway if needed. Patients and family members can't advocate for themselves if they don't know who's who--we are working to solve that problem.

Preventing Infections

Our anti-microbial treated uniforms are designed to help reduce the risk to patients from the uniforms their health care providers are wearing. See more on that at our anti-microbial page.
